About Samugam
_____
Samugam is a non-profit, community-based organization that was founded on 9 May, 1991 by Mr. C. Jesudhasan Savio. His mission has been continued and broadened by his son, Bruno Savio; currently the director of Samugam. Rita Vandenberghe and her daughter Nele Degryse from Belgium are the roots for Samugam and its all activities. Their energy is still traveling in all our charity projects. The Degryse family is a home away home for Samugam family in India.
Samugam is committed to the education of the underprivileged, the economic development of the oppressed class, the empowerment of the disabled and marginalized, and the rehabilitation of Leprosy patients and the physically challenged. All in all, we are devoted to the development and reintegration of the socially and economically ostracized people and the underprivileged children of India.

We are able to do the work with the support of donations given in cash and kinds. We rely on donors, individuals and various local organizations and we are grateful to them always. We look forward to more kind hearts to join hands with us in the noble cause of serving the less fortunate.
