I grew up watching my senior Ko"wsalya in JALLY home and was inspired to take up my higher education in Nursing.
My younger sister and myself grew up watching the hardships faced by mother who supported us by working as a maid. Since, my mother could not manage our expenses singlehandedly, we were referred to JALLY Home during the year 2016. During my stay in JALLY Home I grew up watching my senior Kowsalya in JALLY home and was inspired to take up my higher education in Nursing. After completing my school education, I enrolled in
certificate course in Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery. After completing my course in the year 2014, I worked in IMED Hospital, Pondicherry and later Bruno Sir through his linkages, referred and recommended to a doctor in in amachandra Medical Hospital, Chennai. Presently I work as staff nurse in Ramachandra Medical Hospital. I am always thankful to Bruno Sir and JALLY home.
After losing my parents I was abandoned along with my siblings. Bruno Sir came to our rescue and supported the cremation of our father.
During the year 2013, my family along with my siblings moved to Pondicherry. We stayed near Sai Baba Temple, Kalapet. One day
my father passed away and we all left abandoned. Thankfully, we have been rescued by CHILDLINE team and later referred to JALLY Home for care and support. Bruno Sir, performed all the last rites of my father. Since then, we never felt we are orphans and abandoned. JALLY Home was like heaven for us. JALLY home supported me and my siblings with nutrition, education, and shelter support. My elder brother became chef in hotel and I pursued higher education in Engineering. After completing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, I was referred to EATON when the team came to support children under their CSR Initiative. Luckily, during the program HR Manager visited and I was introduced to him. After the initial referral and interview, I was observed as apprentice. I feel fortunate that I got placed in EATON company in Pondicherry. I am always grateful to Bruno Sir and EATON.
Growing up in JALLY home, and the linkages with Media industry by Bruno Sir I took up my career in acting along with my education. Thankfully, now I have become…
Being a single parent, my mother was struggling to raise me. Later admitted in JALLY Home in the year 2016. Growing up in JALLY home initially was not easy leaving my mother and my home, but after coming to JALLY Home, I felt home away from my Home. I grew up watching Bruno Sir, shooting ad films, and recording voice over for several advertisement and short films, which created a deep inspiration for me to take my career in Media. Initially, I started to appear in short advertisement and gradually became an actress. Now I act in TV serials which are telecasted in Sun and Kalignar T.Vs. I always remember the steps I travelled to achieve this milestone, which is not possible without the initial encouragement, and support from Bruno Sir. I am always indebted to Bruno Sir and JALLY Home.
I am proud that I am the first girl in my community to complete higher education in General Nursing. Later opportunity was provided through JALLY
I belong to Narikuravar Community and unlike every girl during my adolescent stage, I wanted to lead a life of my own but my parents did not supported me due to our strict community norms and culture. Fortunately, I was rescued and counselled by Bruno Sir and later admitted in JALLY Home in the year 2010. Even though I do not have any formal education in school I was admitted in age- appropriate class. Through continuous motivation and guidance, I completed 10th Std., and pursued higher Education in General Nursing. Despite, several hardships, I completed Diploma in General Nursing. After completing, my course, I got a job in a private hospital in Puducherry. Later through Bruno Sir, and supporters from Overseas I had an opportunity to work in UAE as staff nurse. After a short period of work in Overseas, I returned back to India and presently working as a staff nurse in one of the Private Medical Hospital. I always feel pride that I am the first girl in my community to complete higher education in General Nursing and serve as an inspiration to several children in JALLY Home that continuous hard work and perseverance will always lead to achieving one’s dreams. I owe this life and my success to Bruno Sir and always indebted to JALLY Home.
